Bexar County Jail mistakenly releases inmate

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — It’s happened again.
Another inmate has been released from the Bexar County Jail…by mistake.
56 year old Mitchell Lee Boren, who had been arrested on an assault charge, was supposed to be released to Haven For Hope.
That didn’t happen.
There was an error in his paperwork and he was set free just before 4 AM Wednesday morning.
Deputies found him on San Pedro Avenue a short time later. He was taken into custody then transported to Haven For Hope.
Internal Affairs is investigating the release.
