Bexar County jailer arrested for tampering with government record

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A Bexar County detention officer has been arrested on a charge of tampering with a government record.
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said 23-year-old Mishal Mathew had been on administrative leave since early last month amid accusations that he falsified the log books.
The allegations came to light after the death of an inmate at the Bexar County Jail in March.
Mathew was arrested Tuesday evening and probationary deputy Lucio Camacho was fired in a related incident.
