Bexar County Medical Examiner identifies man shot by Federal Agents at San Antonio apartment complex

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A man shot by federal agents at a Northeast Side apartment complex Tuesday morning has been identified.

The Bexar County Medical Examiner says his name was Sina Chohilly Sobby.

The shooting happened Tuesday, August 27 at the Merida Apartments near Northeast Loop 410 and Starcrest.

The 22-year-old Sobby reportedly pointed a gun at Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agent who was attempting to serve a warrant.

The agent fired and Sobby died at the scene.

There’s been no word on what type of warrant the agents were trying to serve at the time.

The shooting is being investigated by the San Antonio Police Department.
