Bexar County residents get help returning to the workforce during Second Chance Job Fair

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A job fair for people who have been away from the workforce for a prolonged period of time is taking place today.

Bexar County’s Second Chance Job Fair helps out of work residents to find a job in a number of industries.

County Commissioner Tommy Calvert says regardless of why you’ve been out of work, economic downturn, incarceration, the Second Chance Job Fair will help you and your family find an opportunity.

Over 800 businesses will be hiring skilled and unskilled workers for a number of jobs.

Some of the industries represented include hospitality, food service, construction, electrical, flooring, information, transportation, warehousing, assembly, automotive, telemarketing, and trucking.

The job fair is from 9 A.M until 12 noon today at the Freeman Coliseum on East Houston Street.
