Bexar County Sheriff: Deputies find significant amount of drugs, weapons and cash during traffic stop on San Antonio’s West Side
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — What started as a traffic stop for a moving violation ended up being a lot more.
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office says back on August 30, deputies witnessed a driver break a traffic law in the 9100 block of Thomas York Boulevard, so they pulled him over.
It was during the stop that deputies noticed the driver had a THC vape cartridge and a loaded handgun in the car.
But then they began searching the vehicle and uncovered a large amount of illegal substances including:
– 385 grams of psilocybin
– 175 grams of THC vapes
– 350 grams of THC edibles
– 685 grams of marijuana
Also found in the vehicle:
– One handgun
– One rifle
– $1,534 in U.S. currency
The driver, identified as Colt Miles, was arrested on several charges, including:
– Possession with Intent to Deliver Controlled Substance (Penalty Group 2) – 4-400 grams
– Possession of Marijuana – 4 ounces to 5 pounds
– Unlawful Carrying of a Handgun in a Vehicle
