Bexar County Sheriff: Man dies while chasing person who dumped trash in car lot
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — An employee at a local car lot has died while chasing someone who dumped trash at his workplace.
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office says it all began at around 4 p.m. Wednesday in the 12700 block of Highway 181.
That’s where someone in an orange Dodge pickup dumped trash in the car lot.
Two employees saw what happened. They jumped in two separate vehicles and began chasing the pickup.
Sheriff Salazar says it appears that at some point the pickup driver and one of the employees, a 36-year-old man, exchanged gunfire.
The employee lost control of the car he was driving and ended up crashing into some woods.
It’s not clear if the man died from injuries from the crash or if he was shot.
BCSO is still searching for the pickup driver and is asking anyone who may have information to call them at 210-335-6000.
