SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A Bexar County sheriff’s detention cadet died Monday afternoon while taking part in physical exercise training.
The 59 year old was one of 13 cadets taking part in the training when he began to experience shortness of breath.
The cadet was allowed to take a break but he passed out.
Academy instructors began performing CPR on the cadet who was rushed to Methodist Hospital.
He died at around 5:30 P.M.
The cadet’s name hasn’t been released and the medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
