BCSO: Large pit bull bites three-year-old boy, shot dead by deputy

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A large pit bull attacked a three-year-old boy and went after a Bexar County sheriff’s deputy before it was shot to death Tuesday night.
The Sheriff’s Office says they were called to a home on Lunar Way on Converse at around 7 p.m.
They were told a young male pit bull bit a child in the face.
When the deputy arrived on the scene, the dog, reportedly weighing about 125 pounds, went after him.
The deputy pulled his gun and fired three shots at the dog. The animal reportedly died as a result.
The dog’s owner will be charged and could face jail time for the attack.
There’s no word on the condition of the boy who was bitten.
