Bexar County Sheriff’s Office: Suspect arrested after sexual assault of 10-year-old girl

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is announcing the arrest of  a suspect accused of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old child.

Deputies went to a home in West Bexar County before sunrise on Friday after the child told her mother 28-year-old Peter Venezuela has sexually assaulted her in the middle of the night. Investigators say the mother quickly contacted BCSO to report what her daughter had told her.

ChildSafe Investigators responded and then interviewed Valenzuela, who was later arrested onsite for the charge of Aggravated Assault of a Child, a 1st degree felony.

Valenzuela was taken to the Bexar County Jail and given bond of $125,000.
