Bexar County woman arrested, charged with kidnapping her five children

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Five children are safe after the arrest of a Bexar County woman accused of kidnapping them.
New Mexico State Police say Qwaunice Tippitt, 31, and Charles Jones, 32, were arrested Saturday in New Mexico. Investigators say the license plate on the car she was driving alerted the state’s Automatic License Plate Recognition system.
Officers out of Deming were notified the suspect car had crossed the state line. Police would then zero in on a black Saab sedan around 2 p.m. Saturday at a Love’s Travel Stop in Lordsburg.
The children are now in the hands of Texas Child Protective Services.
