Bicyclist falls and gets hit by a car on San Antonio’s South side

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Police are working to find the driver who hit a bicyclist early Tuesday morning.

It was around 4 A.M. when a man riding a bike while carrying a large duffel bag on the IH-35 access road near West Pyron lost his balance and fell.

After he hit the ground, he was struck by a car.

He was brought to University Hospital and police say his injuries are not life threatening.

The driver who hit him never stopped but police weren’t able to get a description of the vehicle.

They will continue their investigation.
