Blue Bell ice cream licker has been identified

CONVERSE, Tex. (KTSA News) — Police have been able to identify the person on social media video licking a half-gallon of Blue Bell ice cream and putting it back on the shelf.

Lufkin police announced Friday they have been able to identify their suspect — who is a minor — and spoken with her and her boyfriend about the case.

Police confirmed she is from San Antonio and has ties to the Lufkin area because of her boyfriend’s family.

Her name and age are not being released because of her age.  Lufkin police say the case has been turned over to the Texas Juvenile Justice Department and the investigation continues.
