Bodies of missing woman and her abductor have been found in Medina County
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – The bodies of a missing woman and her abductor have been found in Medina County, 9 days after she was taken at gunpoint from her home in Devine. Police say 37-year-old Jessica Sanchez was at home with her three daughters the morning of June 30 when her ex-boyfriend broke in and kidnapped her.
Police found her car this past Sunday in the Pearson area near Devine. They used a helicopter and canine team to search the area, but they found no sign of Sanchez or her abductor, identified as 48-year-old Jorge Jaramillo.
Tuesday afternoon, a man found the bodies on his family’s property not far from where Sanchez’s car was located. Police say the bodies are those of Sanchez and Jaramillo, but they have not released the cause of death.
Devinenews.com reports Jaramillo had been arrested this past May after he reportedly held a knife to Sanchez’s throat. Jaramillo was released from the Medina County Jail after posting bond, and a protective order was issued against him.
