Body matching description of missing teen found near Pleasure Pier in Galveston

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The Galveston Beach Patrol Dispatch is reporting the discovery of a child’s body in an area where authorities are searching for missing twin brothers.

ABC 13 reports the body matches the description of one of the missing 13 year old boys.

The body was discovered by someone walking along the beach at around 2 A.M. Tuesday at 28th Street and Seawall Boulevard in Galveston.

The search for the brothers began late Sunday afternoon. They had gone swimming near Pleasure Pier and were last seen 20 yards from shore in waist deep water.

Family members called to report the boys were missing at around 4:30 P.M.

Search crews will continue searching for the second brother.
