Boerne baseball team flying to to Little League World Series

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A youth baseball team from Boerne is now making the trip of a lifetime.

As champions of the Southwest, the Boerne squad will face the winner of the Mid-Atlantic region in the Little League World Series next Thursday. The team hopped a plane at San Antonio International Airport on Friday, and KSAT-12 was there for the team’s arrival.

Boerne advanced to Williamsport, Pennsylvania after beating a team from Louisiana in the championship game of the Southwest Regional Tournament last Tuesday.
