Boerne Little League team to march in 18th Annual Grand Slam Parade before playing their first Little League World Series game
SAN ANTONIO — (KTSA News) — A team from Texas will take part in some pomp and circumstance before taking the field in the Little League World Series.
Members of Boerne Little League are in Williamsport, Pennsylvania for their first appearance in the tournament that pits the best Little League teams from around the world against each other.
But before they play ball, the Boerne team will march in the 18th Annual Grand Slam Parade and Festival. It steps off Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. Central Time. You can watch the parade at this link.
Boerne advanced to the LLWS after defeating Louisiana 6-3 last week.
They play Council Rock Newton form the Mid-Atlantic Region at 6 p.m. Central Time Thursday.
Should Boerne win that game, they advance to play Monday, August 19.
The championship game is scheduled for August 25.
