Boerne wins again, will play Mountain regional champion Wednesday
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Boerne Little League is now 2-0 after another win in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
A 4-1 win over the Southeast regional champions has put the winners of the Southwest region within one win of playing in the U.S. Little League World Series championship game. Boerne will face off against the Mountain regional champions, Paseo Verde Little League of Henderson, Nevada, on Wednesday.
While the bats were not quite as dominant as they were in last week’s opener, the right arm of pitcher Julian Hurst certainly was. The youngster racked up another 10 strikeouts and gave up just one earned run over six innings.
The Southeast suffered numerous mistakes in the third inning, including hit batters and wild pitches, that handed the game over the Southwest.
The winner of the U.S. Little World Series championship game faces the winner of the International bracket in the Little League World Series Championship on August 25, 2024.
