Boil water notice issued in LaCoste

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — There is a boil water order underway in the Medina County community of LaCoste.

The order from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality was issued Sunday night due to a reduction in pressure in the distribution system.

The Commission is urging customers, especially seniors, children and those with weakened immune systems, to boil all water for two minutes before consuming it.

The notice is not just for water you will drink or used for cooking but also washing your hands and face or brushing your teeth.

The suggestion is to boil the water until large bubbles erupt on the surface, then keep it boiling for another two minutes.

Officials in LaCoste will alert residents when the boil order is lifted.
