Brady: V.A. Still Letting Vets Down

The National VA is still dragging its feet on firing the people who put veterans on wait-lists, Congressman Kevin Brady said.

“And now we’ve learned that veterans in need of help who have called a crisis center can’t be guaranteed they won’t be transferred to a voicemail,” he said.

He called this appalling.

“The bureaucracy at the VA still needs to step up and put our veterans first,” Brady said. “So without a radical transformation at the VA, our veterans cannot get the timely care they’ve earned.”

He wants no more waiting and no more voicemails.

“We need a 21st century system now, not decades down the road,” he said. “The VA and the President need to recognize enough is not being done at the national level, we have to see results.”
