Brawl breaks out in Kerrville because a woman was wearing a “MAGA” hat

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Police in Kerrville are investigating a fight that started when a woman who was wearing a “Make America Great Again” walked into a convenience store.

At around 1:30 A.M. Sunday, the woman wearing the hat was at the Stripes location on Memorial Boulevard. A group of people saw her and one of them made a negative comment about her cap.

One of the woman’s friends heard what was said and as he exchanged some words with the MAGA hat hater, he was jumped by several other people.

Another of the woman’s friends tried to help as well and had a tooth knocked out in the process.

Police arrived and broke up the brawl and while the woman’s friends were roughed up, they say they don’t want to pursue assault charges.

Kerrville Police have surveillance video and are investigating.
