Brockhouse Ready to Get to Work

Voters in San Antonio’s District 6 chose Greg Brockhouse over Melissa Havrda in the runoff election.

Brockhouse enjoyed Sunday as his first day in a year without block walking, and called the win humbling. He also said he is ready to get to work, and told KTSA News some of his top priorities.

“Starts with public safety, that’s police officers and firefighter support and then it gets down into streets and sidewalks, code compliance and building plans for every neighborhood in District 6,” Brockhouse said.

The newly-elected councilman said he and his team clawed and fought for every vote they could get. He plans to put neighborhoods first for the next two years.

Brockhouse defeated Havrda by less than 450 votes.

He and the other runoff winners will be sworn into office on June 21.
