SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A San Antonio man who plead guilty to stealing $479,000 from area banks was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison Wednesday.

Federal prosecutors say 42-year-old Dennis Stephen was also ordered to pay over $442,000 in restitution.

Stephen pleaded guilty to eight different robberies he committed at three northern San Antonio banks from November 2013 to July 2018.

Stephen got tagged with the ‘Camry Cruzin’ Bandit’ because he drove a Toyota Camry during this robbery spree and often wore the same attire in each robbery: blue jeans, a denim long sleeve button down shirt, a white t-shirt, a UTSA Roadrunners baseball cap, sunglasses, a surgical mask covering his face, and surgical gloves.
