SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A Canyon Lake man has been arrested for robbing a pizza shop Tuesday.

The Comal County Sheriff’s Office says someone robbed Wicked Good Pizza on Tamarack Drive in Canyon Lake at around 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Witnesses told the sheriff’s office the suspect was a white man wearing a bandanna around his face, sunglasses and jeans when he walked into the shop demanding money while pointing a gun at an employee.

He left the area on a green bicycle with some cash.

The sheriff’s office said they were able to figure out 36-year-old Benjamin Zickefoose was a person of interest.

Detectives went to his home on Cypress Drive in Canyon Lake about an hour after the robbery and found evidence connecting him to the crime.  Namely, the clothes he was wearing in the surveillance video.

The sheriff’s office recovered the bicycle, handgun, and an undisclosed amount of cash.

They also say he is likely responsible for a similar robbery that happened in the same shop on July 14th.

Zickefoose was arrested for aggravated robbery.  More charges may be pending.
