Castroville Public Water System issues boil order following water main break

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Customers of the public water system in Castroville are under a boil order.

Residents were told Sunday that a water main break at Diorella and London caused the city’s water pressure to drop.

According to information on the City’s website, if water pressure drops below 20 psi, it could result in a backflow, potentially allowing contaminants in drinking water.

Castroville officials are urging customers to boil their water for two minutes before drinking, brushing your teeth or washing your hands.

Customers will be alerted when the boil order is dropped.
