Chicken N Pickle serves dinner with a side of pickleballs

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A new restaurant boasting multiple sports courts and yard games is open on the northside of San Antonio.

The restaurant opened in March and held an official ribbon-cutting Tuesday afternoon.

Chicken N Pickle San Antonio is the third location to open in the nation, but the first to break ground in the Lone Star State. The first two locations are at home in Kansas City and Wichita, Kansas.

The restaurant offers lunch and dinner service daily in addition to brunch each weekend. The bar offers a good variety of domestic and craft beers and a selection of wine and cocktails.

The fast-casual restaurant and bar are complemented by 11 pickleball courts, two bocce ball and four shuffleboard courts, outdoor lawn games like Jenga and corn hole and a game room with ping pong and a legion of televisions to catch the latest game while you play.

New and old pickleball players will have the chance to participate in tournaments and league play throughout the year. Don’t have a team or missing players to form a team? There is a free agency matching service to give everyone the chance to play.
