Church bus bringing kids home to San Antonio from camp catches fire

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A bus bringing kids home from a church youth camp caught fire Thursday morning in Blanco County.
The bus was part of a caravan carrying 200 kids back to San Antonio.
KSAT says people on the bus heard what they thought was a blown tire while traveling southbound on US 281 in Johnson City… but they then started smelling smoke.
The bus pulled over and then caught fire.
Six children — whose ages range from 12 to 17 — were treated on the scene for smoke inhalation and two others were checked out for anxiety.
The bus is owned by an actual transportation company and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
