Cibolo city councilman drops out of race after making a mistake on the election application

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — They say the Devil is in the details and that couldn’t be a harsher truth for a Cibolo city councilman.
Brian Byrd says he made an error on the paperwork to file for election so he’s dropping out.
Byrd made the announcement on Facebook.
He even posted a picture of his application for placement on the ballot, pointing out where he neglected to fill out part of it.
Even though he could still apply to be a write-in candidate, he is giving his support to Reggie Bone.
“I challenge all Citizens and especially District 3 residents to rally behind him to ensure OUR success. Mr. Bone will have my support and prayers as he will carry out his Oath of Office next year.”
Bone will now run for District 3 unopposed.
