Cibolo Police warning residents of dangerous new social media trend

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Police in Cibolo are telling area residents to be aware of a dangerous new TikTok challenge.

In a Facebook post, the Cibolo Police Department announced that some residents have been shot with a splat gun, a toy that shoots a gel projectile, with the incident being recorded on video and posted on the video sharing website.

The department warns that even though the guns are toys, getting hit by one of the gel projectiles is painful and dangerous.

They asking residents to be alert and to exercise situational awareness when outside.

There’s also a warning for those who shoot the projectiles that they could be arrested.
