Comal County coronavirus case count climbs to 22

CONVERSE, Tex. (KTSA News) — Comal County announced Monday morning its 22nd case of COVID-19 coronavirus.

The county said the newest patient is from New Braunfels and in their 40s.  That person is self-quarantined.  The source of infection was determined to be from travel outside of Texas.

Locations of Comal County coronavirus cases:

  • Nine cases in New Braunfels or immediate area
  • Four cases in the Bulverde area
  • Three cases in eastern Comal County
  • Three cases north of Canyon Lake
  • One case in Fair Oaks Ranch
  • One case in southwestern Comal County
  • One case south of Canyon Lake

Sources of infection in Comal County have been:

  • Nine travel related
  • Six unconfirmed/under investigation
  • Four community spread
  • Three close contact with a known positive case

There are currently 13 active cases of the virus in the county with seven recoveries and two deaths.
