Commissioners Preparing to Buy Land Around Randolph

Bexar County Commissioners vote on a land buy Tuesday morning.

The plan would purchase land in and around Randolph Air Force Base.

The county and state would use a Defense Economic Adjustment Assistance Grant, worth $4.7M, to buy the property to preserve the base’s training mission.

The county says buying the land will increase the amount of undevelopable land around the base.
