SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Democratic congresswoman’s office released a statement announcing that she is currently “experiencing symptoms” and is “recovering at home”.

Ocasio-Cortez is vaccinated and received a booster shot last fall.

She encourages everyone to get their booster and “follow the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention”.

The announcement comes a week after the Congresswoman was seen without a mask at multiple locations during a trip to Florida.

Ocasio-Cortez is one of several members of Congress who have recently announced that even though they are fully vaccinated, they have tested positive for COVID-19.
