Construction forces closure of San Antonio area highway

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The eastbound main lanes of I-10 are going to be shut down through Friday afternoon at State Highway 46.
The closure is to allow TxDOT crews to make emergency pavement repairs.
Until the project is wrapped up, eastbound travelers are exiting to 46. Then they drive through the intersection, and then re-enter the freeway.
This is causing some heavy traffic in the area. Boerne police are recommending drivers find an alternate route until the repairs are finished.
