CONVERSE, Tex. (KTSA News) — A woman was shot inside a Converse home Friday afternoon.

Converse police say they got a call about a shooting inside a home in the 600 block of Meadow Gate off of Toepperwein at around 3 p.m. Friday.

Responding officers found a woman with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.  She was taken to SAMMC for treatment.

A man was also inside the house.  Police say he was identified as the person who called 911 and during that call said he had shot the woman.

Police later learned the man, 41-year-old Carlos Garza, had been in a domestic argument with the victim, which escalated to the point he shot at her multiple times.  Only one bullet hit her.

The man, 41-year-old Carlos Garza, was arrested on an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge.
