Cornyn Slams Dems Over Comey Questions

Enough is enough.

The words of the U.S. Senate’s Number Two Republican as Democrats continue to press FBI Director James Comey over his handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation.

In fact, Senator John Cornyn sounded an especially frustrated tone after hearing what Clinton herself had to say Tuesday about why she lost the Presidential Race.

“Essentially blaming you… and blaming everything other than herself for her loss on November 8th” Cornyn told Comey directly during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Wednesday.

“I think you were given an impossible choice to make–and you did the best you could in light of the situation that you were presented with” Cornyn said of Comey’s decision to reopen the investigation days before the Election.

That decision was prompted by the discovery of classified emails on a computer belonging to former Clinton aide Huma Abedin and her estranged husband Anthony Weiner.

“I think it’s important to remind folks that you were not the one who decided to do business this way, and keep State Department emails on a computer of someone suspected of child pornography” Cornyn said, chiding his Democratic colleagues.

“I just wanted to express to you my disappointment… this continued seeking of a reason–any reason other than the flawed campaign and the candidate herself for Secretary Clinton losing the Presidential Election” the Senator told Comey.
