County Commissioner Trish DeBerry enters race for Bexar County Judge

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — 11 months into her first term on Bexar County Commissioner’s Court, Trish DeBerry has launched her bid for County Judge.

Candidates had until 6 P.M. Monday to file their paperwork and the Precinct 3 Commissioner submitted hers just a few minutes before the deadline.

The move means DeBerry has to forfeit her current position on Bexar County Commissioner’s Court.

Current Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff, who says he is not seeking re-election says he will name an appointee to finish out DeBerry’s term, which expires in 2024.

DeBerry is one of two Republicans looking to become Bexar County Judge in 2022. The other candidate is Nathan Buchanan.
