Crash involving drunk and speeding driver sends 6 to a San Antonio hospital

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Six people, including a family of five were hospitalized Sunday morning when a speeding drunk driver hit the vehicles they were in.

Two cars were racing at over 100 miles per hour on the IH-35 access road at around 2:20 A.M. Sunday when the driver in one of them lost control near AT&T Center Parkway.

The Ford Mustang hit a road divider then crashed into two other vehicles.

One was a van carrying a family of two adults and three children. The driver of the second vehicle hit by the out of control Mustang was the only person in that vehicle.

All six people were brought to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Mustang wasn’t hurt but he was drunk. Police brought him in for DWI.

His female passenger is facing charges as well.
