Crime spree comes to an end for a San Antonio couple

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) – Two people are under arrest for stealing thousands of dollars worth of personal property from vehicles on the west side.

San Antonio Police Officer Carlos Ortiz says they had been investigating the thefts since October. Detectives had been collecting evidence against the duo and on Wednesday morning, Police stopped 31 year old Steven Ramirez and 32 year old Xandria Rodriguez.

There was a search warrant issued for the couple’s residence and that’s where Officers discovered the stolen merchandise.

Ortiz says it was mostly tools.

“We’re talking anything you would need to build a house.”

Police were able to return several thousand dollars worth of property to the owners.

Most of the crimes were committed in the area of 1604, Culebra Road and Bandara Road.
