Dallas Stars players’ homes impacted by EF-3 tornado

SAN ANTONIO (Texas News Radio) — At least two Dallas Stars players were impacted by the EF-3 tornado that destroyed homes and businesses in northern Dallas Sunday night.
The team announced on Twitter that Bishop’s home was damaged by the storm. He missed the team’s morning skate, but is expected to be at Monday night’s home game against the Ottawa Senators. Backup goalie Anton Khudobin will get the start.
Team captain Jamie Benn told reporters at American Airlines Center he went to Bishop’s house Sunday night to offer a helping hand.
“It’s pretty scary,” Benn said in describing the scene near the goaltender’s home. “It’s something that I have never seen before. I’ve been here 11 years now and the debris and the trees everywhere. It’s a pretty crazy situation and scene.”
Jamie Benn drove over to Ben Bishop’s last night to lend some help.

Stars forward Tyler Seguin was also impacted by the storm. Photos of his damaged home near Preston Road were posted by WFAA-TV Sunday night. Early Monday morning, Seguin confirmed it was his house on Twitter, but said he had just left that area and had already moved into his new home. This property was listed for sale.
Thanks to everyone reaching out about the news tonight, I am safe. Luckily this is my house for sale and I have moved into a new one. I just left the area and it is an extremely sad sight to see. Prayers to everyone affected by the tornado. https://t.co/wT6XlUBi8N
