SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office said Wednesday morning it has the remains of all of the victims who died in the 18-wheeler found on Quintana Road late Monday afternoon.

The office said there are now a total of 53 victims in their custody.  Of that total, 40 were males and 13 were females.

The medical examiner’s office is working to identify and determine the causes of death for all of the victims.  Currently, it says it has 37 of the victims potentially identified.

Bexar County will be getting assistance from Travis and Dallas counties to handle the autopsies.
