DeRozan, if still a Raptor, would turn down trip to White House
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — After former San Antonio Spur and current Toronto Raptor Danny Green said he had no interest in going to the White House to celebrate the NBA championship this year, a former Raptor and current San Antonio Spur has a similar sentiment.
TMZ caught up with DeMar DeRozan, who was leaving a steakhouse in Beverly Hills, CA, and asked him if he had a problem with the Raptors not wanting to go to the White House.
“Shit, I wouldn’t go, either,” DeRozan told TMZ Sports as he got into his SUV.
Raptors coach Nick Nurse said the team is working on a trip to be honored by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Ottawa, but the team was undecided about a trip to the White House.
President Donald Trump said he would consider offering the Canadian team an invite to the White House if they were interested.
