Diamondbacks prospect blasts 527 foot homer off Missions pitcher

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Amarillo Sod Poodles infielder Leandro Cedeno blasted a home run 527 feet against the San Antonio Missions Saturday night.

We’re still not sure if this ball ever landed.

Nolan Watson threw a high 93 mile per hour fastball in a 3-0 count in the bottom of the 5th to Cedeno — only for it to be sent straight out to center-left field — tying the game at 5.

The Missions would go on to lose 7-6.

The 23-year-old first baseman is currently hitting .302 with 18 home runs in 73 games heading into the All-Star Break.

Watson has struggled in Texas League play.  The 25-year-old righty has a 2-4 record and a 6.19 ERA in 20 games and eight starts for the Missions.
