San Antonio police identifying man accused of rear-ending police squad car

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — San Antonio police are identifying the person who was behind the wheel when their car rear-ended a squad car over the weekend.

Investigators say 40-year-old Jaime Deluna was speeding in the 4900 block of Eisenhauer Road when his car rammed the police car from behind. The collision sent Deluna, a passenger in his car and an SAPD sergeant to the hospital.

Deluna was arrested Sunday and charged with intoxication assault and intoxication assault of a peace officer.

No other injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
