Driver falls asleep, crashes car on San Antonio highway

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — She was driving home from work and fell asleep behind the wheel.
That’s what caused a one car crash in Stone Oak early Tuesday morning.
The woman was driving on an elevated portion of Loop 1604 near Stone Oak Parkway at around 5 A.M. when she nodded off.
Her car left the road, went airborne, landed on it’s wheels and rolled into an embankment.
The woman was banged up in the crash and was brought to the hospital. The extent of her injuries wasn’t released.
The crash caused some traffic disruptions for about an hour while officers did their investigation and cleared the wrecked car from the scene.
