Driver hurt, traffic blocked when 18 wheeler rolls over at downtown San Antonio’s Finesilver curve

UPDATE: The Westbound lanes of IH-10 have been re-opened.

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The infamous Finesilver curve in downtown San Antonio is the scene of another rollover crash.

An 18 wheeler failed to make the turn from IH-35 to IH-10 at around 2 A.M Thursday.

Police say he was going too fast and the rig rolled over. The driver was injured in the wreck and was brought to the hospital. His condition is unknown.

It’s become a routine for crews to clear up the scene of a rollover at that particular curve but it doesn’t make the traffic headaches any easier to deal with.

Interstate 10 West is closed in the area of the crash.

It could take several hours to move the wrecked rig and police are advising that you seek an alternate route.
