SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A dump truck ran off Interstate 10 on San Antonio’s east side Tuesday afternoon and crashed into a business.

The San Antonio Fire Department said the truck was going eastbound on the interstate when a tire had a blowout, sending it off the main lanes, across the frontage road and into a business in the 4200 block before the WW White Road exit.

The truck struck two parked vehicles before hitting the building.

The fire department said the driver of the truck was severely pinned inside and it required an extended extrication.

Unfortunately, the driver did not survive the crash and the department said the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.  There were no other injuries.
