Early morning fire damages sign business on San Antonio’s West side

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Firefighters ran into several obstacles as they tried to extinguish flames burning through a business on the West side.

They call came in just before 4 A.M. Thursday from the 1300 block of Culebra Road.

When crews arrived they could see the smoke and flames coming from the back of the building but their efforts were slowed down by a secondary roof and other odd construction designs.

They were able to keep the fire from spreading to neighboring businesses and homes.

No injuries were reported and investigators are still looking for the cause.
