SAN ANTONIO (Texas News Radio) — The Dallas Cowboys are on their way to Oxnard, California, for training camp, but appear to be short one member of the team.

Dallas-Fort Worth area television stations camped out at DFW International Airport to see if running back Ezekiel Elliott would board the chartered plane for the flight to California.

Cowboys coach Jason Garrett had said he expected Elliott would be at camp.

But, multiple outlets report he didn’t show up for the flight Thursday afternoon.

Elliott has until Friday morning to report to Oxnard on his own to take part in the camp, which begins Saturday.  Should he fail to do that, it would be the beginning of a holdout.

The star running back has been looking to get a new contract from the team, though Cowboys officials have said they are focusing on other priorities at the moment.  Elliott still has two more years on his current deal.
