Excessive Heat Warning issued for San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The intense heat will continue as we begin a new work week.

The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for Monday and Tuesday.

The impacted areas are mainly East of the I-35 corridor from Georgetown all the way to the border.

The Hill Country is under a Heat Advisory for the next two days.

Monday is expected to be the hottest day of the week with the temperature in San Antonio getting to 108 degrees with heat indexes up to 112.

It will be even hotter in West Texas with some areas expecting highs of 110 to 115 Monday and Tuesday.

Don’t expect the heat to loosen its grip on us any time soon. Triple digit temperatures are predicted until at least Thursday.

Stay safe, stay hydrated, and check on elderly family members and neighbors.
