Seven people are dead and dozens more injured following a terrorist attack in London Saturday night.

The assault started when a rented van veered off road and ran into a crowd of people on London Bridge. Three men then got out of the vehicle and started attacking people with large knives at the nearby Borough Market until they were shot dead by police.

Local terrorism expert, Jeff Addicott from the Center for Terrorism Law at St. Mary’s University School of Law, said the attack is another reminder that radical Islam is on the growth, not on the decline. Addicott also believes there’s a 100 percent likelihood of a similar attack happening in the United States.

“It’s just a matter of when the next event will occur, whether it’s a night club, an airport, a shopping mall, a school campus ground. We’ve seen these pop up time after time in the last couple years,” Addicott said.

Addicott believes the vast majority of Muslims in the U.S. have nothing to do with people who want to cause us harm.
