Experts: Protect Your Packages for the Holidays

It’s a growing problem and you can help prevent being a victim. Porch Pirates are following delivery trucks and once a package is set on your doorstep, the thieves walk up and take them.

Mark Hanna at the Insurance Council of Texas says the modern day Grinches don’t even care what’s inside the boxes, they’ll take them anyway.

His advice is pretty simple. If you can, have those packages delivered to your workplace or have a neighbor bring them inside once they are delivered.

Tracking your packages online is the best way to know when they will be delivered.

Hanna says paying a little extra for insurance will cut back on your losses if your package is stolen.
